Nakshatras III: Mula to Revati

This chapter follows Mula · Purva Ashadha · Uttara Ashadha · Shravana · Dhanishtha · Shatabhisha · Purva Bhadrapada · Uttara Bhadrapada · Revati. Each mansion spans exactly 13°20' and carries a ruling graha, deity, symbol, and inherited body of mythic associations.

For a natal reading, the Moon’s nakshatra deserves special weight because it describes the lunar mind at finer resolution and sets the starting point of the Vimshottari Dasha. For other grahas, the nakshatra adds texture to the planet’s sign and house rather than replacing them.

The nine rulers repeat in the fixed order Ketu, Venus, Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, then again. Across twenty-seven mansions the pattern repeats exactly three times.

That dual role is why the app should present Moon nakshatra prominently: not as a mystical nickname, but as a precise bridge between the natal portrait and the predictive clock.

Kuta systems compare lunar mansions across several dimensions such as Tara, Yoni, Gana, and Nadi. Those measures can be useful as one structured layer, especially in a traditional consultation.

A responsible app also reads the seventh house, its lord, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Moon, Navamsa, and timing. No user should be told to stay in or leave a relationship because of one nakshatra mismatch.
